Just doesn't do a very good job of holding anything unless you're using a magnet. Works great with the magnet.
I have only had the MacBook Stand by Yohann but cannot do with out it at home going forward. I have ordered one for my spouse. My only comment regarding this improvement is that it really requires the supplementation of a keyboard to gain all the benefits. Therefore, even though I think it is now essential, it is not complete by itself.

No more falling over with my iPhone: It is now securely resting on my beautifully crafted Yohann iPhone Stand. It tilts, which makes it convenient while charging. It is portable, so when I want to Shazam music, I just grab the phone-on-stand and point to my Bose speaker. I am going to have to buy more because now I want to rest it on the table in the kitchen while cooking, and I want to have it on my bedstand (I use my phone as a wake-up alarm) while sleeping. It has become almost as indispensable as the iPhone itself!
I bought the oak Yohann stand to extend the height and placement of my MacBook on my standing desk. The oak complements the oak of my desk and other furniture! It is simply ELEGANT!!!
